My research combines qualitative and quantitative methods to examine migration, belonging, and political communities. I draw on large-scale surveys, semi-structured interviews, and mixed-methods approaches to investigate how emotions, identities, and moral convictions shape experiences of migration and political change.

My recent research includes a worl-wide survey of Russian migrants who left Russia after 2022 and in-depth interviews conducted across multiple countries. Methodologically, I am particularly interested in the integration of survey research with qualitative interviewing and thematic analysis to explore the emotional dimensions of political and social life.
